In LinkDR, a project is the dedicated workspace for a single website. Every campaign you run, every link you build, and every report you generate is organized within its specific project.
You can create an unlimited number of projects, allowing you to keep work for different websites or clients perfectly separated.
How to Create a New Project
Creating a project takes just a few seconds.
From your main dashboard, find and click the
+ New Projectbutton, located near the top of the page.A form will appear asking for two key pieces of information:
Project Name: This is a private, internal name to help you stay organized. It can be anything you like, such as "Client ABC" or "My SaaS Product"
Website Domain: This is the public domain of the website you will be building links for (e.g.,
clientabc.com). Be sure to enter this correctly, as all of the project's data will be tied to this specific domain.
Click
Create Project.
That's it! You will be taken directly to the dashboard for your newly created project, where you can begin funding it with credits, inviting your team, or setting up integrations.
After You Create a Project
Once your project is created, it's a blank slate. Here are the most common next steps:
Fund Your Project: Add credits to the project's wallet so you can start purchasing backlinks. (See: How Credits and Billing Work)
Invite Your Team: Bring in colleagues or clients to collaborate on the project. (See: Inviting Your Team to a Project)
Connect Google Search Console: Link your project to Google Search Console to unlock powerful, data-driven insights for your link building.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I change the Project Name later? Yes. You can edit the project's internal name at any time from the Project Settings page.
Can I change the Website Domain after creating a project? No, the website domain for a project cannot be changed after it's created. All of the analytics, links, and reporting data are permanently associated with the initial domain to ensure data integrity. If you entered the wrong domain, the best course of action is to create a new project with the correct one. If you have performed a site migration (with redirects), then contact support.
Is the information in my project private? Yes. All projects are completely private and isolated. Only you and the people you explicitly invite can access a project's data.
